FROM MR. HUNT

Please remind your students if . . .

If your students are picked up off school grounds please ensure they are not waiting on, playing on, or disturbing the neighbors’ property.  We have had several neighbors complain and even several of our own parents have noticed that our students have not been showing proper respect.  Thanks for your help on this.

Homework Habits

If you haven't started yet, it will be best for your student if you create a common homework schedule in your home.  Students who have parents involved in their homework traditionally do better in school.  Reading papers they write, checking math homework for accuracy and completeness, and having students read to you are simple ways that will help your student do better in school.  It does take time, but it really is a huge investment in your child's future."

Finally thanks for everything you do to support the school.  Your support of our events, fundraising, volunteer hours, driving for field trips etc. is invaluable.  We have been able to have the success we have because of your efforts.

PARENT COUNCIL FUNDRAISING

Thank you so much to those who have donated money to the Parent Council Fundraiser! We are using some of the money to update the elementary computer lab and will use the rest to go towards a new school marquee. If you haven't donated your $35 yet and would still like to, please drop it off at the front desk at any time. Please make sure it is labeled "PC Donation." Thank you for your generosity!

SUNNY D LABELS CAN HELP YOUR STUDENTS READ!!!

Dear Lincoln Parents,

We have a great opportunity to put at least 20 books into the hands of your students in every classroom from Kindergarten to Sixth Grade. We are collecting the UPC labels from any of the Sunny Delight Bottles. We can earn one free book for each UPC code turned in to your student’s teacher.

This opportunity continues until November 30, 2014, so please help us in our efforts of bringing leveled Scholastic books to the classroom.

Thank you so much for all you do!

STUDENT DIRECTORY

The 2014-15 Lincoln Academy Student Directory will be printed in the next few weeks. Keep your eye out for an order form that will come home with your kids, so you can order your own!

EMAIL YOUR REPORT CARDS TO THOMPSON ORTHODONTICS

Report cards have been sent home, and Thompson Orthodontics will pay our school $1 for every A our students receive! All you have to do is email a copy of your child's report card to thompsonreportcards@gmail.com, and they will donate $1 to the school for every "A" your child receives! It's really easy and can be done by simply taking a picture of the report card with your phone and emailing it in. You don't have to be a patient of Dr. Thompson's to participate. Please take a minute to do this and earn more money for the school!
