Construction/Financing Update
Lincoln Academy became the 5th charter school in the state to qualify for the State Credit Enhancement. This means when we sell our bonds for the construction and refinancing of the school
that we will have the state's AA rating- giving us a better interest rate. We project closing on financing on Feb 26th and beginning construction on March 1st. Details as well as a FAQ sheet can be located here.

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Please put Feb 12th and 13th on your calendar as Parent-Teacher Conferences. We will hold these meetings from 3:00-8:00 on Wednesday for elementary and Junior High and 3:00-6:00 on Thursday for just the elementary. Elementary parents, please sign up for a time slot on the sign-up sheets which is available at the front desk. Junior High parents, please plan on a five-minute conference or less. If your concerns are going to take longer than five minutes, please make an appointment to meet with the teacher at a different time.

Book Fair
Our book fair will be held during Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Our elementary grades are participating in the Jazz Reading program. Our school has a goal of 700,000 minutes. Please encourage your students to read each night. JAZZ READING CONTEST

It's that time a year again to have the Jazz Reading Competition! It started on Friday, January 17, and continues until February 18.

We are excited to be participating in it again! We have set a goal for our students to read 700,000 minutes this year. We know it's a big goal but have full confidence that we can do it.

We need parents' help by filling out the reading log and helping us stress reading these next few weeks. If classes hit their reading goal, they will get a free dress day each week. So please help us get a Jazz Player to our school and help us stress the power of reading to our students!
